CRYSTAL CANDY

Cassio Jumae brings a touch of magic to the world of candy.

Inspired by the rare beauty of gemstones, each piece is a delicate, hand-crafted crystal made from sugar and agar—crisp on the outside, soft within.

Kohakutou is a traditional Japanese confection that beautifully reflects the essence of Asian craftsmanship—where food is not just nourishment but an art form. Rooted in Japan’s appreciation for aesthetics, nature, and mindful creation, these crystalline treats capture the fleeting beauty of imperfection, much like the philosophy of wabi-sabi. Their delicate crunch, jewel-like translucence, and soft, chewy center embody the harmony of contrasts found throughout Asian culture—elegance and simplicity, precision and spontaneity.

Bringing kohakutou to a new audience is more than sharing a sweet; it’s sharing a piece of a rich, artistic tradition—one that turns the simplest ingredients into something extraordinary.

Cassio Jumae – A Story of Sweet Discovery & New Beginnings

When I started making edible crystals after seeing them in a video, something clicked. The process, the transformation—it felt like more than just creating sweets. I had discovered kohakutou, a Japanese confection is crisp on the outside and soft within.

As I crafted each piece, often with my children by my side, I realized this was more than a passion—it was a way to show them that creativity and entrepreneurship can go hand in hand. I wanted to build something meaningful, something that sparked joy, independence, and a sense of wonder.

When I noticed that these dazzling treats weren’t yet found in Amsterdam, I knew I had to share them. And so, Cassio Jumae was born—named after my children and handcrafted with love.

More than sweets, Cassio Jumae is about stepping into something new, daring to create, and indulging in life’s little luxuries.

To every one searching for themselves again, to every dreamer ready to create something beautiful—this is for you.

This is my journey. This is my passion. And I can’t wait for you to experience it.
