For years, my world was home—raising my three wonderful children, pouring my heart into motherhood. But somewhere along the way, I lost sight of me. Like so many mothers, I woke up one day realizing I had given everything to my family and left little room to explore who I was beyond that. I knew it was time to step back into the world, as myself. I needed something of my own—something that sparked joy, creativity, and independence.

Then, I stumbled upon a recipe for kohakutou—a mesmerizing Japanese confection, crisp on the outside, colorful jewels. I tried making it, and something clicked. The process, the creativity, the alchemy of turning simple ingredients into edible gems—it wasn’t just making candy. It was transformation.

I realized no one in Amsterdam was offering these sparkling treats, and an idea was born. Cassio Jumae became my way of bringing this magic to people—a brand inspired by my children, woven from the pieces of their names, just as they have shaped me. I handcraft each crystal, often with my little ones at my side, because I want them to see that entrepreneurship isn’t just about business. It’s about creation, independence, and building something you believe in.
